What is the bounce-a-thon for?
Bounce for Bread is fundraiser presented by Motivate.® Movement Studios to raise funds for Our Neighbors Table, which fights food insecurity in our region.
How do I donate to support a person Bouncing at the bounce-a-thon?
When you donate, you can choose to “join a team” if you want your donation to sponsor a particular bounce team. Click the link below and select “join a team”, then search for the team name or person’s name that you want to support. Joining a team does NOT mean that you have to bounce, it just means that you are a supporter for that team. Click here to donate.
What is a Bouncer and a Rebounder?
A rebounder is a mini personal trampoline. A bouncer is someone who jumps on the rebounder. Bounce is like a party meets a workout for low-impact, beat-driven, cardio fun.
Can I Bounce if I have never used a rebounder before?
Yes! Bouncing is beginner friendly, and our trained Motivate.® Bounce Instructors will be on hand to introduce you to the rebounder and make sure you feel comfortable.
How do I join a bounce team?
Click here to join an existing bounce team. You will see a list of all teams, and you can select the one you would like to join. Once you have registered to bounce, each person bouncing will also need to complete a participation waiver for Motivate.® Studios, who is hosting the event. Click here to complete your waiver.
How do I create a new bounce team?
Click here to create a bounce team. As the person creating the Team, you will automatically be listed as the Team Captain. Teams are encouraged to pick a unique team name and show your team spirit with themed attire, cheers, and signature moves! Teams of Bouncers can be made of up as many people as you’d like, as long as there are enough people to take turns bouncing for five hours. Once you have registered to bounce, each person bouncing will also need to complete a participation waiver for Motivate.® Studios, who is hosting the event. Click here to complete your waiver.
Do I have to stay for the entire event if I join a team to bounce?
No! Each team has only one rebounder, so only one team member bounces at a time. Each rebounder will be labeled with a team name. If your team wants to assign time slots to take turns bouncing, you can choose to be at the event only during your assigned bounce time. If you plan to bounce for more than one period of time during the event, there will be a separate area to rest while you are waiting.
How many people should be on a bounce team?
Each team is responsible for one rebounder for the entire 5 hour fundraiser bounce-a-thon. You choose the number of people on your team, but it should be enough people to be able to keep the rebounder bouncing continuously for 5 hours. You may choose to have 1 person bounce per hour, or to rotate team members more often (every 15 minutes, every 30 minutes, etc). Each Bounce Team should raise $1,000 in donations for this five hour bounce-a-thon. Donations can be made by those bouncing, or by friends & family who want to sponsor your Team.
Do I have to bounce in order to be involved?
No! You can also support this fundraiser by donating to someone who is bouncing, making a general donation, or sponsoring the event.
Can I volunteer to help on the day of the event?
Yes! We would love to have you help; please fill out the contact form to get in touch with us.
What will the event look like?
The Bounce-a-thon will take place at the Amesbury location of Motivate.® Movement Studios. Bounce friendly music will be playing and there will be an instructor leading and inspiring the bouncing, but this is free style bouncing and not a class. You are welcome to bounce however you like – fast, slow, off tempo, your choice!
What is the minimum age to be a Bouncer?
Bouncing is for ages 12 and up, and those Bouncers under age 16 should have a parent/guardian present while they are at the event.
What should I wear if I am bouncing at the fundraiser?
Clean indoor shoes or bare feet are welcome. Wear a sports bra that is up to the task. Bring water (refill station here) and a towel if you tend to perspire! If your bounce team has a name with a theme, we encourage you to wear costumes or themed attire to support your team theme!
Can I make an In Kind donation for the day of the event?
Yes! We would love to accept donations of water, snacks, drinks, etc for the bouncers to restore themselves on the day of the event; please fill out the contact form to get in touch with us.
What if I have to cancel after registering?
Donations for this fundraiser are non-refundable. If you can no longer participate as a Bouncer for this event after registering, please let us know using the contact form on this site, in order to be removed from your Bounce Team. Please feel free to find someone to take your place, but remember that all bouncers must register and complete the participation waiver.
